About Me

The Career

I started as a writer and spent 15 years building something harder to categorize. I've been the founding brand voice for a startup that didn't exist yet. A digital editor for a national design publication. A one-person film crew making the case for a content function that didn't have a budget yet. A creative director responsible for every touchpoint of a brand launch in a country I'd never been to, much less worked in, before. And a head of editorial for one of the world's largest enterprise software companies.

The path looks nonlinear from the outside. From the inside, it's been the accumulation of a specific kind of expertise: I know how to find the story worth telling, make it impossible to ignore, and build the systems that keep it going — consistent enough to be trusted, flexible enough to surprise.

Currently I'm Head of Editorial on Salesforce's Industries Marketing team. Before that, you would've found me at Virgin Sport, Interior Design magazine, TPG Architecture, Renfro Design Group, and doing agency work at VSA Partners, PMX Agency, and RAIN Agency on brands including Samsung, AT&T, Dunkin', and Team USA. I studied creative writing at NYU.

The Work

I operate across the full creative spectrum, not because I couldn't specialize, but because I've found that the most interesting creative problems require fluency in more than one medium. I write. I design. I direct. I film and edit. I build editorial systems. I set visual standards for photography. I produce video alone when the budget requires it, and I direct teams when it doesn't.

What stays constant across all of it is a belief that the best creative work is specific rather than polished, honest rather than impressive, and built to outlast the moment it was made for.

I use AI tools like Claude, Writer.ai, Gemini as part of my editorial workflow. My view on this is simple: AI is excellent for helping you figure out what you don't want to say, which makes it useful for finding out what you do want to say much faster. The judgment calls remain with me.

Outside of Work

Outside of work I'm on a tennis court as often as possible. I've played since I was nine and I'm fortunate to have the US Open in my own backyard every summer. I also am a bit of a group fitness fiend and run recreationally, though I would never describe myself as a runner. And I am completely, utterly obsessed with beagles.
